Please find below details of a Surrey County Council information sheet relating to imminent works by UK Power Networks on Pyrford Road Woking / West Byfleet.

Working on behalf of UK Power Networks, McNicholas will be carrying out a network diversion along Pyrford Road, Surrey, GU22 8UE The works will involve removing 8 spans of overhead line and replacing it with high voltage underground cables.

The undergrounding works will be carried out via trench excavation within the carriageway from the junction of Hollybank Road running South to the junction with Lock Lane. In order for these works to be undertaken safely it will be necessary at times to close Pyrford Road to through traffic although the closures will be kept to a minimum in terms of duration. Local diversions will be signed.

Works are planned to start on Saturday the 18th of March 2017 and continue through to the 26th of May UK Power Networks have been requested to work extended day time hours including some weekend working to expedite the project. Delays can be expected and traffic is advised to avoid the area

These works at times will require the road to be fully closed to through traffic and local diversions signed although Surrey County Council are working with UK Power Networks to ensure closures are essential and kept to a minimum.
