At long last after 25 years Ripley Bowling Club is now established in its new home which was opened on 24th August 2016 by  Lady Griffiths accompanied by the Mayor of Guildford.

Congratulations to everyone for their hard work in carrying on the fight to establish the club in Ripley after many setbacks. We have managed to raise money and obtain grants for a very well appointed club house which is heated under a new “green energy” scheme. Now we can look forward to a less hectic time, apart from keeping the rabbits at bay.

We hope to be open for play on the Green from May, but when the weather is bad we can still play “short mat” in the clubhouse. Prior to the opening we had to play all outside fixtures away but won the Summer League in 2015.
We take part in five leagues and had three players in the finals of the 2016 National Knockout Cup played in the Midlands: John Phillips, Rob Stalley and John Reynolds.

If you would like to try Bowls, the clubhouse in Rose Lane is open:

  • Tues: 7pm to 10pm
  • Wed: 2pm to 5pm
  • Thur: 7pm to 11pm
  • Fri: 8pm to 11pm

You can be sure of a warm welcome and it really isn’t expensive.
