Send Village Remembers
Remembrance Day Parade 2024 - schedule of the event: - 2:30pm, arrive Sandy Lane near War Memorial 2:45 short parade to Lancaster Hall 3pm short remembrance service in Lancaster Hall 3:30pm short parade to War Memorial at Church Rooms At War Memorial, wreath laying and last post. Refreshments will be served afterwards at Lancaster Hall, by the catering team of St Mary’s Send. The Mayor of Guildford and MP Sir Paul Beresford will be in attendance.

The current exhibition is called THE VICTORIAN AGE IN SEND AND RIPLEY - not an easy topic given the size of the museum and the length of Queen Victoria's reign but we have done our best. A special mention should perhaps be made of A J Munby's Victorian diary which is a society publication and is on special offer at £1. St Mary's Strollers is a small walking group who normally meet on the third Wednesday in the month at 2pm at the gazebo on Send Recreation Ground. We stroll/walk around local footpaths and is a lovely opportunity to be out in the fresh air in friendly company. We end up in the Church Rooms for tea and cake!
